I was bucking up some more of the Lodge Pole pine that I cut down up in the mountains and did some splitting and stacking today.
I was starting to add up what I have and when all said and done looks like I will have 6 cord.

I takes me about 40 to 50 trees depending on the size and length of the tree and that puts me at least 3 years ahead in my pine hoard.
I like that because if for some reason I cannot make it back to the mountains I know I am covered for awhile.

Nice work Mag Craft ! How many cords do you burn in a winter? Nice feeling for sure.

Money in the bank for sure. Never know when life will get in the way, and being ahead could really save a guy's (or gal's) bacon if he couldn't get into the woods for a while.

I only burn 3 cord a year. About half of that is Lodge Pole pine and the other half is various hard woods that I can find. So that Pine is 3 years worth for me.

For some odd reason, I've never taken a count of how many trees we cut up every year. Perhaps one of these years we'll have to try that.

Especially around here where there are not many trees and our other source of heat would be propane.
