Well I just obtained my 3rd Husqvarna 44 saw. Had a few things to get her running but am pleased to over the weekend get it running and it runs really well. Its a 1984 chain saw. I also have a 1981 and a 1985 versions.

These old husqvarna 44's with a 16" bar are a very powerful saws.

I bought my first one back in the late 1980's from an old man that had a small engine shop around here. He sold lawn mowers and chain saws and did repairs. He told me as I was young back then, LOL , that he went all thru two of these 44's and totally rebuilt them as a guy had leaned them out and burnt them up. He said if I took care of this saw as I bought one of the two, that the saw would last me for years and years. Well 30 years later its my favorite firewood saw light and powerful. So I got to looking on ebay for another and now have obtained two more and got them running and made improvements to them tinkering with them. This stuff is addictive.

I will have to get a pic of all three as I already posted a pic of the first two on the saw pic posting.

But here is another look at the first two the 1981 and 1985.

Cool! I always appreciate seeing well cared for machinery. I've had the itch to get a 36 for a while. Long time ago I saw one on youtube that the guy modded and it appeared to run really good.
