Had a touch of frost on the windshield. Garden, so far, looks like it got thru OK. Zucs will let me know by this afternoon. Nice clear sunny day, up to 51° now, at noon. May need to burn some shudder fires soon.
It is that time Dave. I figured with MI showing some 30's you'd be into frost very soon. Right now it is raining cats and dogs and little frogs. I just did some seeding of clover and alfalfa. May have to redo that now. But I'll just wait and see if anything comes up and go from there.
I think you need to re-calibrate your thermometer Dave. Or take the sensor out of the freezer I left the farm around midnight (not far from your place) and it was 48*. Got down to 44* at my house in Palmer at around 3AM. Not sure if there was any frost this morning, I'd guess it would have been warm? There wasn't when I got up at around 9. Its 62* right now, was 60* at noon. It was showing 31* in Prudhoe last night though. I am certainly not excited AT ALL for these colder temps. Every year it seems like summer is getting shorter and shorter and winter is too long! Under around 20* is not much fun to work all day outside. Under -5* it's pretty miserable.
