Now I remember why I absolutely dislike stacking and why I haven’t done it in years. Stacked up with my fuzzy, cord calculator math, 24+ cord of fir in the main shed. About a cord and a half of fir on the side. Roughly 3 cords of oak piled in the barn Piling and throwing are definitely the way to go. Changes at work and starting school will keep me from active hunting and cutting for the next three years, so this will be worth the work. Rough estimation, good tight stacking can fit approx 25 - 30% more in the same space. At least I’ll get an accurate idea of how much I burn in a season this way with the new stove. No final picture but it’s completely stacked to the top Stack on hoarders, cause after this I will hopefully never stack again. Time to fish and crab as the ocean permits until the job transfer and school starts in September. Owl
Sweet set up there. Love that pic of your shed with the mountains in the background. Not a fan of stacking my self, but with extremely limited storage its what I have to do. If I had my way I'd do it like jo191145 or jrider do it.
That picture will live on in posterity, it’ll likely not be this nice again when things get back to normal. Thanks guys. Owl
