Ordered wood 6 months ago and it's finally here. Crazy to think how hard it is yo get wood in Maine this year. I cut my own off my property but decided last winter to buy a couple of loads to try to earn some extra money selling cut and split. Generally just starting small to work into a side job for when I retire..
Nice! Have fun with it. Just curious where you are in Maine if you don’t mind me asking. I spend some time in The Forks during the summers.
I'm lucky too. Lots of people can't get any logs. Just cut and split, and that's starting to run low in some areas.
I live in Newport, PA. There seems to be a lot of towns with that name across the country, and whenever we travel I try to go visit them, just for fun. If, I'm in Maine, will have to visit your town too! JDU
“Starting small”? I love it! Reminds me of a story when visiting Newport, RI. We took a tour of one of the mansions. Kevin Costner and his wife was in our small tour group, and a couple times I caught my wife checking him out from behind. I gotta admit that guy knows how to wear a pair of jeans.
Nice size logs for processing! When I was getting grapple truck loads it was always “what’s he gonna bring me now? “ . I’d like to get another just for fun… JDU there is a Newport NH just don’t blink when you drive through!
Nice logs there! I spent a while living in Lubec, and then Columbia Falls Maine, seemed like every time I went anywhere I ended up in Newport!
