2 stroke oil

echo chainsaw on the way and it's been so long since i've had one i am out of the loop with oil.
while on the subject should a fuel stabilizer be used in addition, thanks.

 

Any of your name brand synth or semi synth....i add a lil seafoam to all my gas..i use hp ultra rite now till i run out...i mite by a quart of royal purple next..who knows..lol

 

good suggestion i have some seafoam and royal purple on the way. all my vehicles could use a shot of seafoam.

 

Has any one tried the "green 2cycle oil"?

 

How much seafoam to say a gallon mix?

 

bit i've read, say one ounce of seafoam in a gallon, fuel gets stabilized and engine stays clean.

 

I use red StaBil myself. Never had any problems with bad gas using it. One time I forgot and the gas went bad in 2 months (lawn mower went berserk using it). I use JASO rated FD 100% synthetic oil from Homelite now. They sell it for a reasonable price at HD. I used to use BelRay, Elf or Motul, but the price on those have all gone through the roof! Echo has good oil as well, JASO FD rated. Oh and I only use non-ethanol gas.

Yeah, it works well, but doesn't smell like a race gas fueled 2 stroke. Amsoil sabre smells like the race 2 stroke exhaust I like.

 

2 strokes, yes. Gotta have that castor oil smell. The wife even loves that smell.

 

Mmm race gas castor oil 2 stroke....

That and biodiesel made from bacon grease.

 

I like e free 87 octane mixed 50/50 with Sunoco 110 and mixed at 32to1 with Yamalube r2 or Klotz r50
