My atv is 2 stroke oil injected. The lines are leaking, so I premixed 2 gallons at 50 to 1 and dumped it in the tank. It ran fine for the whole 2 gallons. Well, its time to refuel, and Im wondering what you oil gurus think I should be mixing this at? 32? 40? 50? I used saw oil mix, instead of the injection style mix because I wasn't sure if the injectable would tank mix. Thoughts on stihl ultra vs Polaris injectable style oil?

    Thanks!

You need to look up what your specific atv requires for mix.

I'm not an ultra fan myself but it probably works. I would read the bottle on the polaris stuff and see if it says it can be ran as premix as well.

I would mix no leaner than 50:1. I probably would run 32:1 as bikes and things always run more oil and atvs are not babied.

If your auto injection has failed, start out using a 40:1 mix. It should be rich enough for anything made in the last 20 years.

That's gonna happen soon, but I gotta get some wood moved outta my parents yard first.
Atv was at deer camp, so I brought it home to move wood and get ur fixed.
Premix is just a temp solution to get this wood moved.

Just don't run the premix pump without oil for too long. We run amsoil at 40 or 50 to 1 in everything from motocross bikes and a modded banshee to chainsaws no problems thus far. Can't go wrong reading the premix bottle instructions no matter which brand you choose. Any oil is better than no oil.

Is this an air-cooled engine or liquid cooled? Big difference in the oil requirements. But the wrong oil for the cooling type is better than using injection-only oil as pre-mix.

It's air cooled, and the pump resivoir is filled. I actually think it still delivers some oil, and some leaks on the exhaust. I premixed 2 gals of red max air cooled oil at 40 to 1 just to be safe. That's what I had onhand.

It's gotta move 2 cords, then it'll get fixed.
