A month ago me and the wife stopped by some old friends place for a visit. They had 1 of them fold out fancy shade things set up over their picnic table to beat the heat. On the way home that day Linda says to me that would be kinda neat to have 1 of them things for more shade and to grill under when it is raining. Of coarse I nixed the idea right off the bat since I didn't really see any need for such a thing. But then the 20 watt bulb in my head started to fizzle and spark and it dawned on me that I could possibly find a second use for such a thing. 2 weeks later I went to Wally world and $75 later I had it set up for her when she got home from work. She was so happy that I would spend that kinda money on just a women's whim that I just had to tell her my other motives for such a frivolous purchase. I split up the last off the 65 toot tall arborvitae in cool comfort for the far pit today. It is almost 90° out and I got a far going so I must be insane. So what I say, I'm goin back outside and enjoy the day. Happy Labor day to all of you.
Good story Butcher, and good on ya' for makin' momma happy. Just don't that too often......she'll start expecting it. Enjoy the weekend.
I did the same thing in July, Butcher! Told my wife I got us one for the beach trip, but of course I had to try it over the splitter first
As they say in the south (and pretty much everywhere else), "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"
Looks like you got it made in the shade! It would be another great place to lay out and get some tanless r & r, the the beer staying cooler just a little longer (not needed in your case)
