Northeastern Fence on Route 1 north in Saugus, Mass has $175/ton posted on their sign. They used to carry Canawicks and NorthEast pellets. Might be worth a call for any of you north of Boston guys.....
hmmm...$175/ton......not bad......when have prices there been that low? I wonder how much they have, what brand, and for how long?
Those Northeast pellets were an all softie if memory serves...then they had that fire a few years back and really haven't heard much about them since.
They haven't been that low in well over 5, but maybe 10 years. I think the website info is outdated. Their Twitter feed had a post in December about Northeast Pellets They appear to be up and running as their FaceBook page was soliciting employment opportunities earlier this month.
I wonder if they are private label bagging at that plant. Like the new Okie Platinum's those are another one that no one seems to ever see but are apparently up and running. Inferno Gold's???
Yes, But not all that great. Fairly clean, But no freakin heat in them bags. IIRC Subie has burned em too. Hey subsailor, What was your thoughts on them Northeast pellets??
Northeast Pellets, LLC – Premium wood pellets made from 100% bark-free wood in Ashland, Maine – 207-435-6230
Word I got from a dealer in Aroostook County where Northeast Pellets is located is that are recycling unused kiln dried lumber. They don't use their dryer because the wood is already kiln dried. I don't know how accurate that is. The last time I was up there was a couple of years ago and I did see some piles of sawdust. I've been by the plant 5 or 6 times over the years and there never seems to be much activity. Not a lot of product on the ground outside. Go by MWP and there product everywhere, but MWP is a much bigger plant. Northeast was pretty good before the fire they had, I don't think they ever fully recovered. I would have to think hard about buying them, even at $175. Try them, maybe they're a better now.

X2 welcome to the show Kirley always nice to have another pellet dealer on the forum I noticed that you have changed the wording on your site about the Northern Warmth brand as being Oakies , now they are a " replacement" , any insight to that ??? As there has been a lot of misinformation out there . Thanks
