Is this the same saw? Looks very similar but don't see any model numbers on it. I am in no way a vintage saw expert but really, 1800 or trade for a quad? Is this realistic? VINTAGE McCULLOCH 2 MAN CHAINSAW
That's a dandy alright. Already have a pristine 99,mine don't have the transmission, but it does have the RARE optional earth auger attachment plus I do have a separate 4 foot bar/helper handle that fits if I do ever get one....
I'm no pro either, but that saw is different. 2 caps on top of tank instead of 3 is one of a few differences I spot. But to answer your question, no....he is not realistic. Not at all. He is on Crack. The one I posted is from a known seller in the saw community. I bought my 066 from him. I'd say my link is a fair price, but it's a limited market and buyers are thin. The link you posted imo is just lunacy. Btw... thistle nice saw!
That's what I though. I'm always looking at old saws and have never seen a price that high. People on CL are nutty sometimes, think that shiz is worth 20x what it really is. I actually know where there's a old quad rotting away for he last 10 years in the woods, maybe I'll offer that.
That's my 99. Make me an offer I need this out of my way. I had it sold on Ebay last August and the guy paid for it instantly using paypal. He contacted me and said he would have his shipper get ahold of me. Never heard from anyone until last week when his wife called and said he passed away. I refunded the money as she assured me she didn't need it so here it is back up for sale.
