Yesterday during a youth modern gun hunt. It was a doe that I spotted from the kitchen window. It was about 250 yards away, on the next hill, it the woods. Snow on the ground made her easy to see. So...me, the 14 y/o, the 8 year old and the wife started putting the sneak on her. Got within 90 yards with the wife's .243
    and she made the shot:thumbs:

Should have happened years ago but she has lived with her mom until recently.

No pics:( I completely forgot until I had the deer quartered up. But I sure am proud of her.:)

That had to make you proud. Your daughter had to be so excited.... good for her... Nice reward is eating that delicious meat and know what your eating... Nice thing is she'll be by your side next year with her gun... :)

Thats great! I cant wait to take my kids out for their first hunt when they can shoot. My girls have gone with me hunting and they love it. Had my oldest out with me two years ago and had a little fork horn right in front of us. She loved it and wanted me to shoot it, but explained to er we were waiting on a bigger one or a doe. It was an awesome experience though having a deer so close to her and getting to watch it.

Congrats to you and your daughter! Sounds like quite the family hunting escapade that I am sure everyone will always remember. Can't wait until my oldest daughter is ready to hunting.

Congrats to her! Sucks that you didn't get pics of her with that first one.
