One of my log guys called yesterday asking if I wanted a light load of oak poles for $600 so I said sure and he delivered this. Today he messages me asking if I wanted a mix load of bigger stuff for $500. I replied with sure and this was the second load. Oak, maple, hickory, ash, and two tree of heaven logs. First picture is the poles from yesterday, log truck picture was before unloading today and last pic is once it was on the ground. Not bad for $1100.

How many cords worth do you think that ended up being? Either way, seems like a good amount of wood for $1100!

I’m not sure honestly. If I had to guess, I’d say 17-18?

Some primo logs there. What will they yield cord wise? How do the tree service logs compare to those?

17-18? And these are great to process. Straight and much longer so a lot less getting on and off the tractor, starting and stopping the saw.

One pass and on to the next pieces. You can really pile it up fast.

Gentlemen, I would like to officially nominate jrider for this weeks "you suck award" Even though he had to fork out some "benjamins" it is still a great score.

Heck, the more I think about it, he can probably garnish the monthly title also! :smoke:

Added to what I have already, a load of that size should probably last the rest of my life!

Im not a seller, but I would have paid that for those loads delivered without hesitation. I was looking to buy load of logs and its $600.00 which would be 6-7 cord. jrider you do suck!

Mannn I wish. Here we have a major shortage of hardwood, just cannot get your hands on it. I have no more production this year, I hope I can line up a supply for next summer.

Got all but a few of the logs from the second truck load cut up. The picture of rounds is just the oak from that truck. Didn’t take a picture of the mixed hardwoods. He did manage to slip 2 white pine logs in which I’m not upset about because that will go as campfire wood. Only 3 hickory logs in the mix. Was hoping for more. Should probably finish up cutting tomorrow morning.

I did come across this sugar maple log which went into the mixed hardwood. That’s a treat for me as I rarely get much of it, let alone straight like this. I do forget how heavy that stuff is when green.
