From a guy who wants to buy my Loblolly Pine. Can I be held liable for the house fire or resulting injuries?
He says he will make me his main pine supplier if he likes the product?
    Is it seasoned?
How long ago was it cut down?
    What size truck?
    Is it a long bed?
    Do you stack?
    What’s Loblolly Pine?
    How much do you have?…..
The pine guy is thorough in questioning for sure.
Going to be busy with the upcoming temps in the teens plus snow.

Go for it. If you have access to free pine and the time to make firewood from it why not. You are a good hardwood seller (honest amount & dried) so why not softwood? How much does he want?

The only softwood i sell is kindling made from rounds or scrap lumber.

If that worried get him to sign a waiver???

I'm sure you know how much you have of it, and what you're willing to sell. A moisture meter on a fresh split will tell all that needs to be told.

Sounds like this guy's been ripped off before, and hasn't bought from you yet.

Lol, I’m not worried. The pine was on the ground 1.5 years before I cut and split. It should burn like paper. He wants all I got which is about 1.5 cord. We’ll see, I have a hard time spending time on Poplar, but I’ve learned fireplace burners need something easy to light with their oak.

It seems weird that someone burns pine exclusively since it’s so dangerous

Maybe it's hard to find honest sellers of properly "seasoned" and full amount firewood around you?

I’m sure of it. I delivered to a guy this morning who said the last guy he called said some wood is seasoned and some isn’t. I’m giving the Pine guy a good deal. He kept texting questions during my daughters dance performance and throughout the night, so I was annoyed by it since I had already offered him a deal. I was thinking ffs the price is going up if you keep bothering me. Customer service, or dealing with people is not one of my strong suits.

At least you are honest about that aspect . Provide a great product of dry wood that is at least in the amount you are saying it is and you'll do just fine.:)

It can be aggravating, but the few customers i get that understand the lingo are a breath of fresh air. Gets annoying dealing with stupid people even though i try to educate as i go.

Update on this. Mr too many questions asked for a delivery around 4:15 to 4:30 this afternoon. He never gave me his address. At 4:40 I call and say my truck is loaded do you want the wood? “Yeah I’m running late and will text my address when I get home.” He never texted his address. The moral of this story is, if they ask a lot of questions, hang up, or ignore the texts. I’ve got a truck load of pine to unload tomorrow :emb: before reloading for a customer that didn’t ask questions and already gave there address.
Now I’m thinking the dude was just drunk texting. Fkr wasted my time

If he calls back and actually gives his address I think I'd take him a load of wet willow!

I just found someone to take the Pine at a slashed price, so I don’t have to put it back in my rack. Offered it as a combo with a second load of Oak and Ash.
