a couple dead standing were no match for my new to me Stihl 660 and my tried and true 026. Split them up in the spot with the Fisksrs brothers. Stump in the 1st pic must have been about 26" had just enough reach with a 28" bar.
3rd pic is the pile I left and about 1/2 tree to split yet, I'll be picking that up over Easter when I get back to the farm (I know it's not stacked properly, but it won't be there long)

I'm horrible at wood id's, but it seems like Ash. I'm just glad it's not box elder. A tree right next to one that I droped was box elder. When the tree fell it took a couple of the neighbor trees limb with it and it was box elder. Good thing the box elder was really health. I'll let it grow for a couple generations!

It looks like a nice day Dakota Hoarder. Was it cold out or just right? When I work wood below freezing Im still able to put up a good sweat unless its real cold out.

It was actually just right (for February) must have been about 30 and no wind. Any warmer and things get wet and sloppy real fast. Good thing I got a lot done, the next day was 40 mile an hour gusts. A little two breezy for me!

How did my 026 work compared to my 660? Well it compared like it had twice the power, pulled twice the bar, cuts twice as fast, and weighs twice as much (well it doesn't weigh twice as much, but you get the picture)

I have not found one yet as my 029 works well for what I am cutting at the moment.
