What is the differences between an 036 and 036 pro, and if someone likes they can explain how they vary from the 36o, 361 and 362.

034 Super/036/036 Pro/and the MS360 are all pretty much the same machine. Some muffler and filter differences. Somewhere in there Stihl came out with the intellicarb setup for compensating for dirty air filters.

61.5 cc IIRC for all of the above. The pro models have a decomp valve and an adjustable oiler? Not sure which models got the adjustable oilers? That may not be exclusive to the Pro saws.

The 361 is completely different with a quad transfer port setup and a spring based AV system. Also backs down to 58 cc IIRC.

The 362 is a stratocharged engine, also different from any of the previous 60cc class machines from Stihl.

One of the other important "Pro" features was the larger sprocket bearing and corresponding sprocket. The basic 034/036 had the "standard" smaller bearing like on a 270/290, where as the Pro has the larger size like on the 044/440/460 saws. I turned my standard 036 to a "Pro" by installing a new Zama compensating carb/air filter (had to rig up longer bolts to accept it and modify the tank vent to clear the filter), and doing the sprocket/bearing conversion. It already had the adjustable oiler. All its missing is the decomp valve which really is not needed on an 036. Added a dual port to the muffler of course, and it became my most used go-to "big saw". My 360 Pro sits on the shelf in reserve for sometime down the road!

Forgot about the bearing, I converted my 034 too.

There is nothing important on a non-pro that you can't retrofit, usually inexpensively.
