Anyone else hunting morels? They just started popping here in central Indiana. My wife and I found 60 last night in about an hour. [IMG]
It seasons quick, so I expect it would be ready by this fall. I burn a lot of it in the firepit and during shoulder seasons.
Looks like tulip poplar to me.
Welcome to the Forum. Not sure about the first picture, but the bark looks like silver maple to me. I am more confident the 2nd picture is Poplar.
The inside looks like Honey Locust, but the bark doesn't look right.
Got out on Saturday to cut up an ash tree that broke off. Good size tree and it was a real mess of tangles, vines and spring poles. [IMG]...
Good catch, its hollow on the backside, its a big enough hole a grown man can stand in it. Look just to the left of the tree.
Very Nice! Your going to love it! Still looking for a bush hog for mine, that is one of the best deals I have seen for a Land Pride. Great find!

Thanks for the kind words Urban Woods. I am just taking pictures and blessed to live in a beautiful part of the country with deep ravines and...

With all the logs I had pulled out, c/s/s, wanted to rebuild my log supply before it gets too wet and muddy out there. On Sunday and Monday...
Yes, some of the larger rounds are up over 20% but most of these trees have been down for awhile and most of them where at least partially off the...
I feel you on that. I underestimated how much I would need going into my first year with the OWB. I have been cutting and burning dead elms. All...
I have burned around 6 to 6 1/2 cords through the OWB.
Hoping its not basswood, but I will burn it regardless.
