Yeah I’m not complaining. It was all going in a burn pile so I’m glad I got there in time.
Never had that either so not sure.
I was hoping that’s what it was and I hope you’re right. Hedge sparks like crazy too and I burn a lot of that.
It’s pretty dense. Honey locust would have thorns and I didn’t see any on the rest of the tree. There were no leaves either or I would’ve posted pics.
Here it is next to some of the hedge I got from the same area. The hedge is on the left.
It was as in a patch with hedge but the bark isn’t the same nor is it as vibrant an orange color. That’s why my first thought was mulberry
Black locust? I’ve never had any of that but the bark has a rope-like pattern.
My first thought was mulberry but I thought middle was a reddish color in mulberry
The leaves are from a different log not from the same wood
Anyone know what wood this might be?
What model Stihl would it compare to power wise? More than the 362?
You’re given a blank check to buy any saw you want. What are ya buying?
damm it won’t let me post the word I’m trying to use!
frickers not frickers
Nope not autocorrected. There’s a group on Facebook called firewood fockers so I changed it to hoarders when I realized where I was posting lol....
Ok hoarders, it’s pretty clear that ash is hands down the preferred choice, so I’ll throw in a third wood to see how it compares. Where does...
There are dead and dying ash all over the place here due to EAB so it should be easy to come by.
Yeah but we’re all adults so let’s hear it.
What about “Whack my Walnut” for a t-shirt?
Nice! I have a dirty hand tools splitter that does a good job for me. Wolf ridge would what I would upgrade too if I ever needed to upgrade.
