Just got a load of wood from chip drop. I am pretty sure the whole load is Oak but for the life of me I cannot place what type of Oak it is....

22 here now with wind chill feels like 6; going down to 8 tonight probably feel subzero loadin stove with oak. Tryin to keep it between 500 -600F

Its around 33F here and burning some Red Oak uglies.
Today was also my first fire of the season. Just burnin some oak uglies. Temps are topping out at 50F midday and gettin down to around 40F at night.
