Got ya. Used to do the same thing, take it on and off. I had an aluminum one that was lighter to handle and I'd back in the "carport" and had a...
Nice work, good load. Something I've been wanting to ask you, been driving me crazy......why don't you take the cap off?? :hair:
Regarding the last picture, cannot see end so don't know if it is a peavey or cant hook. I have a DLT Co. cant hook I bought 50 years ago and...
I know a guy who carved utensils out of Basswood. It did look and have the feel of good carving wood.
I have never cut or burnt Basswood for firewood. However one fell right beside the road so I cut some rounds just to see what it was like and add...
Going for $200-225 per cord locally delivered around here in PA.
Agree with what others said here, looks like way less than a cord and although hickory is good stuff, in my experience not THAT good. And agree...
Agree, have several hole in the knee pants, always wear chaps when wearing them while sawing to avoid the funnel effect of sawdust into the shoes.
Likewise, take pants off and then notice the blood.
Unless it is just me, but I doubt it, my shins take a beating when cutting and splitting firewood. Happens every year, a round rolls into them or...
Never fails, take my plow off and biggest snow of the year hits. Learned to leave it on until May.
I'm with you on this one. Hate Red pine. Worst splitting stuff ever, which is a little surprising for a softwood species.
Take it.
Just inventoried firewood used for the season yesterday. Figure 3 cords which is about average so I'm on schedule for burning my usual 4 cords...
First vehicle I ever bought many-many-many years ago was a Honda Superhawk. A 1965, 305cc.
Pusillanimous - Wow....had to look that one up in the dictionary. Well used RCBS.
I agree, think it does matter. I found smoking with chunks with bark gave the finished product an unpleasant strong taste/smell.
I have used black cherry for smoking meat and cheese (bark peeled off). I like it but it does impart a different, sweeter smelling smoke. Not sure...
Had to look those 2 species up. Both seem excellent for firewood, good score.
Like others said, pallets are free and work. If you single stack, cut them in 1/2 long way. When they are done, good campfire/bonfire wood.
