Still very slow for me.
Holding heat is a byproduct of catalysts and that heat, then helps to burn off more nasties.
A muffler mod will help these too. Most 359’s were equipped with a catalytic muffler that holds heat and slows exhaust. They are very nice saws.

I’ve cut in temps below zero and not changed the winter shutter nor have I needed too.

The 026’s are good saws. I always liked mine. I would certainly keep it over the MS250.

It may be getting spark but put in a new spark plug( or two). You could swap plugs around and try that too. My Polaris 4 wheeler started running...

The softer woods definitely do start fires better. I don’t mind some Pine. Like any wood….if it’s dry it won’t cause any trouble.
