ARB is the only way to go... I hate the way Detroit's behave on the road. At least a spool doesn't lock and unlock constantly.
What a waste to throw away rotors after one set of brake pads. Usually they are fine, but you can typically take them to the parts store and get...
Too late... I sold it.
Sold it. Thanks!
Needs a little work. I put a new AM carb on it but never got it running. Has compression. $35 plus shipping. Comes with bar, but I'm not sure...
So HoneyFuzz ... any interest in a pretty nice 142? [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
I have a Husqvarna 142 I'd part with. It is a Poulan with Husqvarna plastics. It looks decent but I haven't tried to get it running.
That's cool... I have lots of saws, too, but most people I know only have one saw and it has to do everything from felling to limbing, to bucking...
A simple rule to follow is one inch of bar per 3cc... so a 77cc = 25". If a 460 won't pull a 28" bar, then there is something wrong with it....
Just from the pics, that saw looks to be in pretty damm nice shape. You would be hard pressed to find an 044 in that shape for less than $400 PHO...
I don't really get the thinking that a good running 272xp is only worth $250-300? This is an equivalent saw to an 044, and they go for $400-500...

They don't sell em here in California.
Wipe it with vinegar, then prime and paint. Pretty simple, really.
One saw: Dolmar 7900/Solo 681 Two saws: 262xp, 7900/Solo Three saws: 242xp, 262xp, 7900/Solo All ported, of course. :D
mdavlee ?
:D Ported, Wiseco piston. [ATTACH]
Looks like a hack job... [ATTACH]
I plan to pull it apart... I will have to post up some pics when I do. It doesn't have much compression, so I'm not really sure why it has a two...
