I'm around a half ton or so. Been mild.
Wow. Wish the lacrettes were at HD down here ! They are $310 at one of the dealers.
:faint: Wow. Using the calculator, oil is almost half the cost of pellets, especially factoring delivery, using $300 per ton.
Co worker paid $1.49 to fill his oil tank week or so ago. Crazy low. He actually added a second tank this year, so big score for him. I agree,...
Really? Where and how much $$$
Oh, and price. Quality costs money, as in if the brand is using scrap wood and shavings, or if they are using brand new trees and wood for making...
Easy, trial and error. In my stove, some brands , from the second I turn on the stove, till the pellets ignite and fan kicks on, can be 6-8...
South southington has Chows, green supreme, and Northeast pellets, says they are from Maine.
Would like to see something other than Chows at my Home depot.
I think it was posted they shut down 3 years ago. I got mine at fire sale pricing few years ago.
Here's a pic of my stash. Probably a half ton of Blazers, for those wicked sub zero January nights. Rest is mix of FSU, some chow, and Maine woods.
And I will add, I do have some Douglas for pellets in my hoard. Bought years ago as a closeout. I ran them, and they are great. But my stove...
Are they worth the premium ? To me, no. While they burn hotter, and less ash, I can buy 3 TONS of big box pellets, vs 2 TONS of Douglas firs....
I'll hold out for Fireside Ultras, or if AWF ever shows up again.
Heard great things about AWF few years back, when they were at home depot. But havant seen them at a fair price since.
And I thought rail would be a economical solution to moving affordable pellets into the northeast. Just way to many headwinds in this industry....
Judging the picture, you mean the load shifted in the railcar, and it's a pain in the a$$ to get them out of the car. I ran a forklift for a few...
Brrr. Low 40's with wind and rain. Have the stove running. Was so warm in March , lawns were growing. I mowed 2 weeks ago, and the crazy cold...
Just watched some people explaining how this crazy negative oil pricing works. And I'm still a bit confused, but here goes. It was a lot of May...
And now $4.31 a barrel. God save our country. What is next.
