But how do you know what's what? Are they marked on the bag, or is the barcode different??

I think it says on the bag IIRC. Pretty sure the GS I got from HD last year said Allegheny.

If they don't it's probably leftover/old stock... which I did see some of that last season.

Yes, the bags list the blend on them on the front of the bag.

Took apart the futon chair in the living room and put it out by the street about 30 minutes ago. Someone in a red pickup just picked it up! One of the advantages of living on a semi-busy street, stuff goes quick :)

Roger that... I put stuff out all the time, even on non junk pickup days,
and "usually" unless it is total junk, it will go..
    Especially pallets..

We don't have trash pickup, so anything at the "curb" is fair game. I did put a "free" sign on it and an advisory that I had cats so they could leave the mattress, but he took that too . Pallets are a definite favorite.

Some weird stuff goes. Like furniture after it’s rained. Or electronics after it rains.

one person's trash, another person's treasure. I've found a few "treasures" in earlier years, but now I can't bring anything home for lack of space. Had to give up yard sales also for no space. I am the last one on a dead end street

Back in the day of being in the big city, I was kept in shovels and rakes just walking the 'hood the evening before large item pick up day.

That can be the case. I've seen some couches sit out in pouring rain and wondered if someone actually took it or it went to the dump. I have seen others where the people were considerate and covered with a tarp so the furniture stayed dry - or at least for the most part.

In this case the futon was in really nice shape and I placed it on a pallet to keep it off the wet grass.

Besides getting rid of the futon, I removed the window A/C then went out and worked in the yard. Tossed a few largish limbs in the back of the truck along with all the stalks from the lilies, dead limbs from roses, stalks from the yucca etc. Left a bunch of tall weeds that were still flowering for the bees and hummingbirds but I'll have to pull them soon. pulled up the two Blue Princess hollies that had died (Prince is fine - weird) and clipped off all the dead stems from the redbud tree that is determined to be ground cover instead (seriously!). Hauled all that to the dump.

While changeing the furniture in the living room around, I decided to scrub the floor and oil it up. this year I'm getting that done before the pellet stove starts, instead of half way thru the season.

Forgot to take a pic of the living room floor before, but this is the hallway which doesn't get as much heat or traffic.

Floor is oiled with grapeseed oil with a bit of orange essential oil mixed in. Looks and smells good.

I really gotta put a piece of sheet rock up in that spot one of these days. Only been open since 2014 :picard:. Maybe now that the couch is on the other side, I'll get to it. Course that means I have to drive 30 miles to get 1 piece of sheet rock - and cut it so it will fit in the truck; bed is not quite as wide as the old truck and 48" is too wide to fit thru even kitty corner :headbang:.
