Nice machine. Log lift is on the wrong side for me LOL. If I’ve got it I’m gonna use it. I’d also be welding more pieces on that wedge. Most likely totally mess things up doing it too.
If it burns like it splits, you've got some long burning wood, lol. Nice wood yard, who makes the splitter, it looks like a good one!!! thanks for the video. what kind of wood is that, you just showed you split?
Nice setup. Thanks for sharing. Need to get a different way of getting rounds to the lift. Rolling those big rounds would get old.
Wow. Made me tired just watching the video. Too much work there for splitting firewood. My hat is off to you .
Quite the operation you have going there. Nice machine. May I ask what species of tree you are splitting?
That's an EastonMade 12/22. I was dropping the logs on the other side of the machine so it was handy to the lift table. A recent yard cleanup changed things around. Its not often I get big logs like that, so rolling them around is no big deal. If I was smart, I'd drop the log on that side. That log was maple I think. We cut and split a mix of red maple, sugar maple, white ash, and yellow and white birch. We started with this in February of this year. That front row is pretty much all done now. Summer was mostly a right off, too hot to do much of anything. Just another 80 or so cords to do .
If I was swinging an axe I'd agree with that statement. Splitting with a machine like the EastonMade makes it something to look forward too. If anything, its the small wood that makes for more work.
I enjoyed watching the video. Being a hand splitter I have seen very little of a hydro being used. Looks like it could crank out some serious splits!
Can you tell us more about the construction/ size of those racks? Approximately how much does each on hold? Thank you. That splitter looks like it means business!!!!
