Way too much like work today. Put another coat of paint on the back garage wall (parts weren't covered as well as I would like), skim coated part of the wall I parged (ran out of materials, so only part done), loaded a ton of pellets in the Explorer, then unloaded & stacked it, weeded the shrub garden, raked leaves behind the fence (the drainage area), mowed the neighbor's and my lawns and got groceries.

Rewarded myself by making the local Mexican joint create my dinner while I enjoyed a Margarita :coldone:

Ka Ka Sucka comes every 2 or 3 years. Put gray water into another field. That put an end to our septic issues.

2 60 bag pallets came home today, hoping they make it into the mudroom by Mon eve. Going to keep a keen eye on WWW, not worth him throwing out his back doing 120 bags over one weekend. Maybe bogieb will come help?

    Yes it does.

Our drain line and field has a really good decline to it (5-8 %) so nothing has time to silt in.

I don't think we will see any more issues while I am around....

After the monthly HOG Chapter meeting (yes, I rode), I came back and took a nap - LOL. Then decided to not be useless and finished the skim coat on the cinder blocks in the garage. Then I disassembled the portable A/C setup and took quite some time cleaning both stoves. I had done a LBT cleaning a couple of weeks before shutting down and haven't done anything since (I didn't realize I didn't even plug up the pipes with newspaper like I normally do ). Cleaned the stoves, even removed the firebrick, the broke out the soot eater. I was super surprised that I got a lot of of the P43 since I rarely get much out of it. Then realized I had made it burn the matras that gave the P61a such fits. At least this was just ash and not the mess that it made in the big stove. After the soot eater treatment, I went to the LBT to finish that portion up.

I washed some of the parts and dried them, dry graphited the swinging retaining arms for the exhaust fan covers and managed to bash the bridge of my nose into the ash lip of the P61a (yes, I am a spazz and knew what was going to happen but I couldn't get my hands free to catch myself as I hit the critical tip point :headbang:). Just got a little cut but had to remind myself not to touch it with my ashy hands. Good way to get a bad tattoo . Anyway, everything is back together on both stoves.

I need to stop at TSC and get some touch up paint for the top of the P43. When it is running, I keep a pan of water on top of that stove and the pan has started to rub thru the paint - not bad, but it needs a bit of TLC.

We have 2 leach lines at around 100 feet long on each leg

The soil here will handle the water resal good even during our wet season.

The lines that were used are the foam peanut fill over flex perf pipe laid over round drain rock with plastic sheet over the entire install, and then back filled

I like the fast downhill run away from the tank and down 75 feet or so the the leach lines.

This should keep anything from silting in on it's way down.....

It appeared that the only issue was that the tank was just full after 25 years of good living....

The septic field in our previous home was off a cliff. House, tank, and leach line on mesa up top, the field was 45* minimum slope down. Built in 67', served us well til 2014, still in service today. We had to reinsulate the field 15 years ago, the top soil had eroded over the 40 years and it would freeze, 15 tons of dirt dumped down the cliff fixed it.

If y'all remember, I took a trip to Well Seasoned 's place to pick up some used drip edge he had (thank you so much WS - just what I needed!). I finally put it to use as the backing support for the replacement register covers in the living room

Register cover along wall and behind stove.jpg

So much better than what was there!
