    Mounted a log table on the side of the splitter today just in case I’m splitting horizontal. There are times I can’t sit and split, but I hate splits rolling off the side when splitting a big round. Also ordered new hoses and filter for the splitter too. Things are getting a little weathered looking and I don’t want to pop a hose and not have a spare.

    Yesterday my car had an oil leak and found out the oil filter had corroded around the base (NY salted roads) and was really dripping oil. I wasn’t going to drive it to the shop so I put it on ramps and crawled under to change it and do an oil change while I was at it. I was as sore as I ever was when I woke up this morning. Now I remember why I don’t do this stuff anymore. The amazing thing is that we only put about 1500 miles on the car a year and I had the oil changed last year. Never had one rot out before. I think this new brine they put on the roads is gonna send a lot of cars to the crusher.

    I had a filter develop a rot hole on the bronco a year or two ago. I always use Motorcraft filters on it
