What do you think is a good price for some roadside uglies. Some punk, some just ugly. Ugly does burn good tho. Hoping some campers may want some for the upcoming weekend and I need them gone from the processing area. Was contemplating selling larger quantity’s out of my woods trailer but this late in the season figured it may be hard to find hoarders and campers all in one.
Gas station "campfire wood" around me goes for $5-7 for about 6 pieces. I'd say that's a $20 cart full.
Most campers will pay $5-7 for bundles. .75 cubic feet which seems to be the most common size. We stayed at Housatonic Meadows SP in Cornwall and American Legion SF in Barkhamstead this Summer. State was getting $5 in an onion bag of wood. I brought my own and scrounged or course! Their wood wasn't dry enough. I scrounged leftover pcs from neighboring campsites. Dunno if campers would like chunkies or not. Sell by the piece or basket full? Buck a log. 15 for $10. Use lawn n leaf bags for packaging? Can you leave your name/number at campgrounds? Have you tried making a face or half cord bin of nuggets, uglies, shorts etc and selling on CL or FBM? I did a couple last Winter.
I tossed a sign for 15 bucks on it. See what happens. My road is busy with campers coming in. Once they are in they take different roads to different locals. Or in other words it might take awhile to become established.
