Did a little work to help out some older folks my brother does work for today. No fire wood to be gotten, but I believe it’s going to be milled and maybe given to my brother for his house. Two trees, one half rotted ash and the other stone dead had to do a little climbing to set a pull rope as well as remove a big limb that was adding a lot of back weight.
View from the tree, half the limb on the ground rigging the second half 00E7EA5C-E49A-4ADC-893A-77902F556D1B.jpeg
On its way down, the smaller rotted one in pieces on the ground making a target and landing zone for this one 083B1362-A3D2-4610-8C2C-636B11988CD5.jpeg

Wish you were closer! I need a climber to drop a large limb from a very large ash before i can fell the whole thing.

Blast from the past with this thread!
Here’s some work from last week helping out my parents. I put heavy binders around the trunk before I cut since I had a feeling the double stems on this one weren’t holding together. Good thing I did because my suspicions were right nothing but dirt down the center. 0C14515B-5972-4887-91E6-845FAFA1500E.jpeg
