I am loaded with apples this year.. Last year almost none.. I believe it was because it was raining the whole time though blossoms were in bloom and the bees could not get to them

I highly doubt that and don't see how it could possibly be so, especially realizing how circular things always take up more space than square or rectangular things. So much wasted space around the circles. But, if you like the holz....

I was head scratching at that one too. Sq footage is sq footage. And volume is volume. Now if you only stack in single stacks that are 3ft tall it would take less space but if you stack 5ft high right next to the other it would occuply the same space but seem like less in a rectangle like BS says since there is less space around the back side where the circle moves away from the house or whatever.

According to the table printed on the side of the cover it says 2.2 cord. Usually most people can make them 7’ so I guess that’s a more efficient use of space. You are right about circles not being the best use of space.

I usually single stack 4x8’ standard cord stacks with a walk between. I’m going to stack another cord next to it standard style. If I made the HH taller it would be a better use of space. I just didn’t want to use a ladder to stack it or to take splits off with snow on the ground.
