Can't come quick enough. Waitin' for the time when you can fire up the stove and run outside to see the first smoke of the new season out of the chimney............. .......
What a bunch of pyros. Patience, Grasshopper. We're looking at 96F tomorrow and windy. The only fire I am anticipating is the one in about an hour, in the back yard..... w/ a few adult beverages. Burn on big river, burn on.
It sure is, and the dew in the mornings has been increasing, which is good. In the PNW by this Tuesday its supposed to be 100 degrees and 95 or so Wednesday , then back into the mid 80's for the rest of the week. We had that little bit of rain last week, but, its done its job,and we're back to very dry weather again.
Love it. Never made it above 65° in F’s yesterday. Might top out around 71° today... Little bit o’ stackin’ is in order today.
I think just about everyone is liking these cooler temperatures but perhaps nobody is liking it more than I am. Love it! And our high temperature is not expected to reach 80 for at least the next week. I got this picture off our trail camera. Notice the temperature:
These cooler temps are amazing, gives me the itch to do all things firewood related! I also for the first time in about 6 - 8 months saw a couple of deer. I use to see them all the time in the yard but they suddenly stopped except for the occasional track. I quickly put some feed out for them, hope they stick around. Kids love looking at them! Pic is pretty poor, was trying to get as close as possible for a pic without her hitting the gas pedal on me. Also found a couple of these out in the woods, Walnut?
Ya chaz hit the wood pretty hard this weekend. The weather was great for him. Lows upper 40s with highs close to 70. That is also the forecast for the next 10 days. He will be going over to his buddies this up coming weekend to help him out. He just got his wood delivered this week and he is currently pretty much out. When his buddy stopped over yesterday to pick up the splitter he stated that he has some bucked up already. So the weather should be good for them.
