    Sun got too hot to finish. Direct sunlight makes a mess of the drying stain. Reconvene late this afternoon.

    Got the boys helping ol’dad today whittling down the last of the pecan. And a little ash.

    Wood always heats you twice, unless you rehandle like I do then it’s four or five times![IMG]

    Great weather today, was 61°F when I got my butt in gear, and only 66°F now.

    :dancer::rootintootin::banana:

    Chazsbetterhalf is all..
    :shiver:

    :rofl: :lol:

    Decided I'd actually get some work done.
    :eek::emb:

    Decided I was splitting only, so I made a pallet bin.
    IMG_20190824_134524763.jpg

    It's 8' long internally by 32" wide, and wood is 50" from base pallets.

    Loosely dumped, so I figure around 1/2 cord.

    That worked nice, so I did it thrice.

    IMG_20190824_162919875.jpg

    Two on right will be filled with ash to be stacked for next year, the one on the left is for the maple, beech, and hop hornbeam I cut this year. That'll be second year wood.

    Oh, lest I forget to give credit where due, this is the second bucket load from what Chazsbetterhalf did earlier in the week.

    Hope you hoarders have had a good day.
    :yes:

    It's blue smoothie time.

    It's only 72f here right now and breezy!! I am on the verge of cold!!:shiver:

    We're not use to these kind of temps. Esp after a string of 95f high humidity days!

    Found a 1992 Chevy 1500 rclb with a big work rack, 800 bucks but only 1st gear and reverse worked. Good deal. Only problem, she was in Virginia....

    I felt like saying amazon offers free shipping over 35 bucks and so should you...

    I would of run a new wire and rewired that bad boy and kept riding it again. ATVs are simple esp that era. Very few wires.

    We were going to, but If she sat 5 years, we can't have too much use for her. Another one won't be expensive if we do want one.

    Beauty can be so fleeting.....I was relieving myself behind the shed and noticed this beautiful, deep firey red sunset. Red sky at night, sailors delight. Went in to get my camera and when I came back out it was gone....

    I'm about to light the fire pit, pour some bourbon, and enjoy the cool air.

    Yep probably a 5.0. in canadadadadada they don't put the flex fuel badge on the tailgate like they do in the states. My 5.0 F-150 is originally from Canada and it has zero badges on it depicting the engine.
