    I can pick up a 290 for 125 with a case.
    Seems almost too good to be true, I'm trying to not buy it.

    Can’t go wrong for $125 if it’s a runner. Used cases go for $30-40 around here. I’d buy it for sure and have absolutely no need for it!

    I gave $70 for a nice 290 last year that was supposed to have been straight gassed...turned out it just needed a coil...$18 later it has a used OEM coil on it and BRAAAP! :saw: :dancer:

    Those are good saws, and definitely a good price. A guy always needs a spare or four...

    Wood always heats you twice, unless you rehandle like I do then it’s four or five times!

    I like saws in cases. Usually not all beat up. Means the owner though something of the saw. I bought an 036 in a case one time. The thing was like new. Didn't even try and talk the guy down. Traded it in for my 462. Dealer gave 150 more than I paid and I kept the bar and chain.:)

    Is the case nice????:whistle::zip:

    Sorry, I have a real strong dislike to 290s. Far and away the most popular of my neighbors and not a one has a sharp chain on them. They don't cut, the punish the wood into submission with all the accompanying noise and smoke that goes with blue bars. I've had chains brought over to "save" that have wood embedded in the working corner.

    Lol I’ve run a455Hq, for a long time and love it. For what I use it for it’s a good fw saw. But I prefer pro style, non clamshell Saws. I’ve seen 455’s that were junk but I got lucky I guess. My buddy de’EPAed mine first day I got it and did a couple things to it! Muffler jet and ignition??? Can’t remember lol . Also have a 435, that is definitely a homeowner type saw, but super lite. My 029 has like a gazzilon hours but has always been a great saw. It has led a very abused life and been loaned out to everyone lol. But it’ll fire up in any weather, anytime I need it. My father andbrother both have the 291 farmboss, and the ol 455 will run circles around them pulling a 24” bar. I guess a guy just needs to get lucky and get a Tuesday saw. Lol

    It sold because I dragged my feet, I have 2 350's I really didn't need another in the same cc range.
    But I was thinking about using it to replace my 210. Slap the 16" on it and have a nice powerful smallish saw.
    No regrets. but I still think it was a great price if it was a good runner.

    My neighbor has an MS360 with chronic dull chain. Watching him "sharpen" it is painful. I'd still like to have one.
