My dad was with me ,he stood there like a rock but ,we laughed so hard it hurt

My next door neighbor, years ago, hated snakes. Bad. When he was cutting firewood once, a 24" harmless garden snake showed up. He freaked and totally destroyed his chain in the dirt making sure that lil ole snake wasn't gonna git him…
Hey…… maybe he's the one who taught me how to drop my bar in the dirt… :headbang:

Love them in the woods, garden & greenhouse.
They only eat bugs, like mosquitoes , gnats & flies.
    IMO that's a good thing. :)

In the house, they freak the G-kids & wife out, they die.

Nice oak & Cherry stacks

Thanks bogydave. I think the Oak stack will get moved to another area, I don't think it will be ready until 2015-16, I c/s/s it in the fall of 2010 but never topped covered it, once I move it I'll top cover it.

Next to the Oak is some very nice Ironwood, that will be ready for this year.

Once I get some Pine split that's in our new stacking area, I'll start filling that area up with Cherry, Soft Maple and whatever Sugar Maple, Yellow Birch or Beech that I can find down.

I'll take the spiders L.P., I just spoke with a guy this morning who had to have his wife pull a tick out of his BUM!

Some people won't use this but I'll be spraying some clothes this week, so far it's just been Backwoods Off with my pant legs tucked inside my boots, once I get home out of the woods, it's straight in the shower for a good scrubbing.

    http://reviews.cabelas.com/8815/516...rmethrin-insect-repellent-reviews/reviews.htm

Last year the only time I never took a shower after being in the woods I got bit by a tick, not a deer tick so the doc said things were fine.

Would have been a picture of a dead spider if it would have been me. I know there are good spiders and good snakes but I like mine good and dead.

    Oh yes nice WOOD.

SPIDER AND WASPBy A. Vine Hall
The wasp is careful to sting where it will paralyse and not kill the spider, that there may be fresh meat for the wasp-grubs when hatched.

A BIG black spider lived in a hole;A terrible spider was he:As big as your hand, and with hairy legs,And a mouth as red as could be.

The beetles and flies at the sight of him fled,And even the birds were afraid. He had two great nippers, and eight wicked eyes; How he ran ! and what leaps he made
I and all who lived in the garden knewThat terrible spider's lair,And told their little ones, under their breath:
    ' 0 never, 0 never go there! '

Those who were naughty and disobeyed,By their mothers would not have been known,For the spider had sucked their juicy parts—Sucked them as dry as a bone.

One day when he crept quite out of his hole,To pounce on a passer-by,Buzz, buzz, came a wasp: the spider's afraid—A spider afraid of a fly!

His poisoned nippers he opened wide,And reared himself up to fight;Round, round, and round, flew the wasp, then— down! And stung him before he could bite.

He crumpled up, and was carried away,And buried alive, to feedThe baby-wasps that were soon to be born.

—A story for bullies to heed.

Woody, that was a good poem, except the 8 eyes part. I totally forgot about that. No wonder they get away when I try to smush them (along with me freaking out while doing so)

Picture this, a criminal pulls a knife on me in an attempt to rob me. I sweep his leg and then kick his azz.

Now picture this, a criminal pulls a spider on me in attempt to rob me. I throw him my wallet and run like hell!
