Not a Yooper. Only Yoops is a yooper, and he thinks I live downstate, which is technically correct, but for me to get downstate takes 4 hours to son's house and only about an hour to the bridge. Hence, we live up nort. Wife's Brother-in-law says anyone living above 45th parallel has permanent brain freeze, so that's pretty north. Summer oil gets a bit uh, tacky/thick, in the winter here. I like to have summer and winter oil in reserve.
Must not be. I called local TS and it's on sale 2 for $14. I figure this being a warmer clime state, they probably are not in any rush to get rid of summer blend to start stock winter blend. In fact, I don't even know if they carry winter blend here.
I gotta check my TSC, which is across the street. I don't recall seeing a sale going on now, so it may be something regional. EDIT: Local flyer says 2 for $14, which is pretty typical. Normally $8.29/gallon.
One of my OPE friends said they’ll price match another stores. But.. I needed to take a photo of the store display stating 2/$10. I’m already in StMary’s Pa so I can’t follow through. Sorry fellas!!
Eastern PA guys. Our stores are currently 2 for $14 or $8.29 each for the summer blend. The past three years it was on sale 2 for $12 for summer blend and 2 for $14 for winter. I don't need any, but if I find myself nearby I'm sure a few gallons will follow me home.
My wife and I are headed to WV this weekend for a 2 day motorcycle trip. If I go by a TSC, I’ll stop and get the pic to see if the price match will fly.
Stopped at the Ontario, OH TSC on the way home from work this evening and they had tons of it for sale at the 2 / $10 sale price... four gallons jumped in my car... Thanks for the heads up.
We were at Rural King a couple weeks ago and they had B&C oil for $4.99. I thought it said everyday low price. Any thoughts?
Grabbed a couple gallons. And, you know...i dont mind supporting our local dealers, but stihl oil is about $25. That is just crazy. It seems every time i go in there its a dollar or 2 more.
I'm not always very scientific about things, but my impression is that the Rural King is a little lighter and I like it in the winter and the TSC County line is a little stiffer and tackier in the summer. I use both and even some CAM 2 when it's on sale at Menards. I like supporting my Stihl dealer and I just picked up some of the synthetic Ultra 50:1 oil for in the engines, but I'm not quite so picky about the bar oil.
Our TSC is at 2 for $14. Still have a full gallon and a partial, but will keep an eye on the price. They also have some winter weight stocked already.
Eye have never had a problem with the farm store branded bar oils, pretty much all I use, have to get over to TSC and check out the prices. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
