Outstanding! Continue receiving your healing and you’ll be seeing just fine, like a young lad.

So my line on a used zero turn that a friend had in her garage was a little smaller than I wanted.

It wasa Deere zt225, 42" with a Deere/ Briggs 18.5 hp single. It didn't run. We didn't know what was wrong with it. I let my buddy have it because I didn't want another project because for all we knew, the engine could be shot.

We tried cranking it over, no crunchy noises. A pop here and there but no real running. So we figured it was a carb/ fuel issue.

$460 later we loaded it up. Debbie was happy to get it out of her garage, and Paul was happy.

Unloaded it at my buddy's GF house and figured we'd attempt to see what was wrong.

Cleaned out the air filter, a little stuff in it but not bad. Oil level was a little high, but it was pretty clean.

Paul thought to check the solenoid on the carb that shuts off fuel from backfiring. It wasn't appearing to work. We pulled the solenoid off, and hooked it up while we cycled the key. Nope. Faulty solenoid. We disabled the stopper and reinstalled it.
It fired right up and ran pretty well then.

76 hours on it. Pretty much like new. Seat was like new, not even a crack in it. Blades were even sharp. It even had a new Duracell battery last fall.

We had enough gas to ensure it ran well, we both ran it around a little and mowed.

So, he'll get a new solenoid, and change the oil, and give it a wash and his GF will have a mower that will save them both time mowing, and his dad will get his gf's old, but not that old simplicity mower since his dad's is failing apart.

So it's a win win win. I feel a little bad since I could've had that mower, but I'm so close to getting my dad's ariens back on lawn duty.

This is my buddy that I've known since we were 8. He's the one that helps me with anything I can't fix on my own, and he'd do anything for me. So I feel like this is me repaying him a bit.

The fact that the Deere zero turn will be a near zero work fix will also allow my buddy to help me with mine. It's at his house again anyway;)

Ugh. I had breakfast but am not moving very quickly this morning. Surfing FHC doesn’t help! I need to get out and fix a pin that broke on the three point hitch equipment yesterday while mowing with the 6’ rotary cutter. Then get back to mowing. You hoarders have a good day!

Horkn for sure it is always great to have good friends! Hang onto them for sure!

Was hoping for rain last night but did not get any. I had some fertilizer ready to spread on food plots but didn't because it didn't look like that rain would hold together. I want to spread just ahead of rain. Ground was all dry yet this morning. Not much chance of rain in the forecast for now either.
