Why thank you, kitty! They usually get left in the dining room, because, you know... IMG_20190808_28401.jpg

I'm generally very conservative with administering meds, but this dog has a particularly bad reaction to the thunder and he has a heart condition that's getting worse.

And I bet his anxiety transmits to the rest of the pack.

Waiting for these you get big enough I can take the nest out. Do these count as pets?
They've managed to get inside and build a nest every year and now I have to leave the garage doors open so the mama can feed them. 9799.jpeg

My Miss Molly has a phobia of the ding from a cell phone or computer. It is the one ding when I get an alert of a message etc. I am having a heck of a time turning it off. She shakes, craws between my legs and won't leave. Sometimes she stays that way for a couple days. Then it is back to normal. I haven't given her anything, but I am considering CBD.

Poor lil thing. I wonder if we could figure out how to change your alert sounds on your cell and computer Larry?

I had a dog I couldn't clicker train because that sound scared the bejeebers out of her. Obviously I couldn't use the clicker for working with any of the other dogs either.

You should be able to change the notification sound on your phone and computer, or mute notification sounds.

On the computer click on the windows icon on bottom left (I assume you have Win 10)
Type in Control Panel and click on the control panel app
    Click on Appearance and customization
    Click on Hardware and Sound
In the Sound option, click on Change System Sounds
Anything on that list, with a speaker icon next to it can be changed by clicking on the speaker
Then it will show under Sounds the name and you can test it. Just click on the down arrow and pick something that works better.

Let me know if you want a picture tutorial - I can make up one for you because sometimes words dont' help as much as one would like :emb:

On my phone I go to app, then sounds and notifications. Hope this helps.

I tried real hard, it says they are turned off, but they are not. That is on my Iphone.
So now I'll wait and see if I messed it up, or if it is going to behave. I am trying to avoids meds, but I hate to see her so upset.
I did that but it still dings. I'm going to drop into the mobil phone store and see what they can do to help. I had another lab that ran from vacuum cleaners and hid during thunderstorms. He is gone now and I really miss him.

Ya Holly hates my vacuum cleaner also. Thunderstorms she likes to be pressed to your side but let people up here to shoot/site their guns in and she gets on the way. Have to watch her.

I found a more affordable food for Blackie's kidney issue (he is no longer leaking  ). The ingredients are very close to Purina Pro RX kidney. It's called Hi-Tor Veterinary Diet, they also have one for Blondie's intestinal bacteria issues, the ingredients also are very close to the RX food they sell at the vet clinic. Since they have both been on RX food it's been a double whammy more than double the $ of normal dog food and they lost weight and are starving all the time so I am feeding twice the amount, more like a quadruple whammy $$ wise :loco:  I'll follow up and let you know how they do if anyone else can use this info. A place I've used before for our 15 year old cat years ago now has a dog food site, they said it was not quality food. We'll see, same vague ingredients in the RX brands....

WWW was finally able to make the shelter for the stray "Momma" cat that ended up at our house though she has lived out here longer than we have :picard:. Poor thing has been in a few scraps since her buddy died :( , two abcesses on her back I'm keeping track of. Coon proof microchip door programmed as of yesterday, though against her will she let me guide her inside and did not tear up my arms, saw the food in there yesterday and again today, now I wait til she's hungry enough to go in there herself. Guess I better check her teeth if I can get a glimpse since breaking and losing his canines were her buddies demise. She must be really lonely, she tries to rub on the dogs legs when they are out.

Thank you for replying, I've written a reply to you twice and it ended up several paragraphs, so just thanks :)

Very tough situation, too many hearts involved and there have been some slivers of hope.

Hopefully I didn't miss it somehow. Last Wednesday we headed out to Iowa for my sons 40th bd. He didn't know we were coming. His older brother didn't know either. Holly has anxiety when traveling. Talk to vet and she orders mild anxiety med for her. She has gone from almost standing the whole trip to just laying down and sitting up watching the world by. Big difference. Hang in there.

Another thought Larry, my phone does not but WWW's also has a very fine vibration when it rings. Ask the phone store to check that setting too when you go there. Do you know what the model of your phone? Bet you and I could figure it out if your interested.
