I would think that you would want to change the fuel filter in a diesel more often than every few years???
Sorry if my last post led otherwise, it's changed at every recommended maintenance interval recommended by GM, which is many times over the years. This recent issue has a fuel filter less than a year old with minimal miles The distinction above is about whether it was a genuine GM fuel filter or not when we had a choice of repair shops vs moving here and there is only one good choice=dealer=genuine GM filters.
Brrrrrr. We are home. It is foggy and chilly outside. For the last month we have been basking in over 70* temps. We put over 3600 miles on the truck and RV and had a great time. It was hard to turn back and come home. Great trip to see how we would do on a cross-Canada trip. It is going to take a lot long than a month for that trip. I still have another week and then back to work for the school year.
Was able to get a good amount done today. Burned up almost everything in the piles and then got cleaned up, had an early dinner and went to the enjoyment center for a few hours of O.T. One cold one and watched an hour of TV with my son and now
50-60% chance of more rain this afternoon. Hopefully we get some. It has been dry. Good for ground work, but the farmer’s crops need the rain. Time to get some breakfast in and then get a few things done.
Sounds like this is the real fix for that filter and sensor combo.Duramax CAT Fuel Filter 2 Micron Upgrade/Adapter Kit | InjectorsDirect.com Diesels......
Another beautiful day here. Not so beautiful overnight. Around midnight we woke up to a terrible smell. Must have been a skunk really close to the house. It did not take long to get all the windows closed! Scent all gone by morning but was really awful when it first happened. Maybe one of the feral cats got after the cute little black and white kitty.
