I'm gonna guess I'll start the stove in about 10 weeks. Who knows nowadays.

We are usually mid September when we start thinking about burning in the stove. Im not against turning the furnace on for a shot of heat if needed. Our frost season can start anytime between the end of August and mid September (had a frost last week). I heard the neighbors furnace kick on the other morning.

LOL, its a high efficiency natural gas furnace. You can hear them venting from several houses away. I live in the sticks but in a neighborhood.

Weve had a wet summer so far so they are around but not to bad. I havent even watered my lawn yet this year. Its a nice break from two back to back brutal forest fire seasons. Weve only had a few smokey air filled days so far this year. We have window and door screens and use a moderate amount of deet when we are sitting outside.

We never water our lawn, but we also don't have forest fires. Our AC has been cranking for what seems to be months. Next few weeks we hope to be eating dinner on the back deck again.
