It was a lot of 63° here and we're just a bit south and the next starter over. It varies widely. I heard the low temperature up in North Central Wisconsin where my mom lives was 40° just a couple of days ago.
Some of the largest wind turbines are offshore . Likely due to transportation of the components as they scale up in size. Some blades were delivered to a port nearby here and to get them to the assembly site on land they had to remove guard rails, signs, lights and all manner of obstructions at corner intersections and road curves.
Okay. Three saws cleaned and ready to go. Echo CS680 with the 20” bar. Echo CS361P with 14” bar. And the Stihl KM130R with it’s 12” bar with the extension. Now it’s time for a second dose of caffeine and then out to do some more trimming on the new pasture. It’s almost ready for grass seed, but not enough rain to burn the piles yet. We did get some yesterday but by that time I was all cleaned up and ready to relax with family and friends. I need to give my home made tool bed a coat of black paint.

Oh yes, sad to say it does get like your summers occasionally but thankfully much shorter than yours. It used to be we were normal to have 6 days per summer with temperature of 90 or more but it seems for the last 20 years or so we've had more than that. But, just a couple years ago we had a summer where we ran the air conditioner 4 times only and not for all day then. Much better. I can also recall several times running the car heater in every month of the year; not every day, but at least once every month. Typically that starts in late August though. We've also seen corn get froze more than once in July. We even lost our entire garden in July one time. Still, it was some tough sledding that summer but nice once winter set it to stay.
And really sad there are so many now who claim to not believe in vaccines. I think it should be a punishable crime to not vaccinate, especially for something as terrible as polio. It is still a problem with Amish too and just a few areas of the world but some good progress has been made.
Y'all have some different poplar if that first is poplar. That second is for sure a cherry. Black , but not sure what all you have up there.
I thought the second one was a Cherry, but wasn’t 100%. I do not know what the second one is. But I didn’t think it was a Poplar. I have a book somewhere.....
According to my book the shape of the leaf is very close to two categories. One which is Basswoods and Lindens. The other that is Aspens, Poplars, and Cottonwoods.
Book shows the identification of the second tree as a Cherry to be correct. And Black Cherry looks spot on. The first one is tougher. Leafs look like they could be a couple of types. Maybe Quaking Aspen or a type of Linden?
