Went up expecting to get two logs pulled out and ended up with three. I couldn’t get to the upper end of one and couldn’t see if it was hooked to the root was, so I hooked up and was happy when the winch pulled it off the hill. Looks like some steep brushy terrain you were cutting in. Reminds me of some of the north/ northeast facing parts of the mtns that I cut wood in.
looks like it was a great windfall for you! Still getting used to seeing you cut in dense forest rather than the wide open space of your honey hole.
I know some of it is borderline at best, I should have had this done when they first fell, but wasn’t sure where my property line was until recently. Actually one of the three was in great shape. Just hard for me to watch it rot away and I can always use the exercise. I’ve got some more to drag down and then there are several snags that will need attention this Winter.
