Looking to exchange some more of that locust for some seasoned wood?

Three days off from the enjoyment center with NO overtime to work on those days.:dancer::banana::rootintootin:

We have some family home from Virginia for three days. Great to see them again. My step daughter and two step grandchildren. Both teenagers. The older one graduated from high school in late spring so we will have a party for her here tomorrow. So I’m taking some down time while they are here. Trying not to work much. I did cut some grass and weeds on the trails with the tractor and rotary cutter this morning. But relaxed and did some visiting and even snuck a nap in:sleeping: after that. That felt good. The boys and I went for a ride through all the trails on the four wheelers, and I even took the mini-bike for a ride while they drove the wheelers. Watching a movie after supper now and later tonight we will have a bonfire. The fixings for s’mores are ready to go. Good times.

I think I’ll cut some more grass tomorrow morning early while they sleep in. Then take them all to do something fun before the big get together and graduation party at supper time. Unfortunately they have to hit the road on Sunday to get a jump on a looooong drive.

I've found that the cantilever will allow you to load/ launch easier from a less than ideal launch. You can always unload the pontoon onto dry land with a cantilever if you want/ need to.

The bunks will tow better, they excel for that due to the wider track. They won't allow a pontoon to tilt off in emergency situations or in high wind. You have to tow gingerly with a cantilever trailer. If you don't drive like a jackwagon, you'll be fine with a cantilever.

Now the other thing with a cantilever is that you can make money off of it by hauling others pontoons off the lake in fall, and in summer. Drop yours off in the garage, and make money with it pulling others pontoons out. ;)

We already have a few community cantilevers that are the neighborhood whores. Everyone that is in need gets a turn. I went bunk for the stability, I forsee myself dragging this 5 hours up into Maine possibly next year for a vacation.

I can't like that, even though I did.

    That's why I don't like oak. It's a 4-5 year dry time.

Good deal. For 5 hours drive you'll like the bunk.

Had to wait for a bit before we could cook the marshmallows. Someone had the fire a little larger than necessary. 971F1599-C8A6-4816-A4D8-D5FE99F053AC.jpeg
The s’mores were tasty. We got lucky. Very few mosquito tonight.

Well, a first for us. Sitting in a small area outside of Edmonton, Alberta under thunderstorm and tornado watch. Quite the thunderstorm with nickel size hail. I think the truck got a couple of dings. Dogs hid under the bed; campinspecter slept through it. No tornadoes so all is good. We encountered a big thunderstorm and rain about a week ago - of course in the middle of the night. Almost all sheet lightning that night. Not that we haven't experienced thunderstorms before, just never been where there is a tornado warning to go along with it!

Hail and tornado warnings go hand in hand.

I still worry if I see any hail larger than a pea.

Got no love or use for tornadoes.

Sorry to hear WW, that is never fun, the hail must have been loud on your camper. I hope your truck fared ok. Is the watch over now?

Woodwidow , I hope you and campinspecter have the quietest weather from here on out. Many of us enjoy a storm, but when larger hail comes and a warning of a possible tornado comes, that’ll be enough. Stay safe and have fun!

Quiet morning here besides a few crows outside. Loud little buggers. Time to have some breakfast and get cutting some grass. The festivities went well last night but I ended up going to bed fairly early. Must of needed it. The two Corona with Lime before dinner may have helped out too.
