Did you get a bunk style, or the cantilever? There's pros and cons to both, but unless you tow the boat a lot of miles I'd only go with one option.
Arrgh.... Recording stopped with 5 laps to go. Last I saw, he got back on lead lap, was in 17th. Unless something happened in the final laps, he should have finished. Hope his sponsors are happy he kept it in one piece.
That had to be one very frightening ordeal. So glad you were able to recover and persevere. You’ve passed on a lot of knowledge to many of us here, Dennis, and we are grateful.
I went with a bunk style. It will barely get used, but when I do, I'd like to be able to tow it 2-6 hours to some vacation spots I'd like to hit. Additionally, we dont have real boat ramps on my pond, just homeowners have their own launches in their yards. The guy who's yard I use said that the bunk trailer seems to be a much easier way of loading, that the other guy who uses his had some significant struggles with a cantilever.
That's quite a web! Seems a shame to disturb it, going to let it catch car bugs for awhile? Happy birthday to your mom!
I didn't want to disturb it, but had to for mom to get in the car later that day. But the spider had left it in favor of my work shirt at that point haha. Thanks, now to do something for dad. His is Tuesday.
Last night I had to take my better half to the hospital. She’d been having abdominal pains since the day before. Took her to urgent care and they said go to the hospital. She had a 102.3 fever and they suspected a partial bowel obstruction after they did a C/T scan, ultrasound and a surgeon consulting on the results. They decided to keep her overnight. She’s on IV antibiotics and we are hoping it’s just an infection. If that doesn’t work they will have to do surgery. We should know more by this afternoon.
Well, that is not good. Good to be in the hospital where they can run the tests needed and treat her. Prayers to her and family.
Sorry for your wife, NortheastAl. I hope the antibiotics clear it up, and she doesn't need surgery. My mother had that, after a week in the hospital waiting for it to pass, she had surgery. Fortunately they just cut scar tissue on the outside of the colon, and didn't have to cut into it. Rehab and then home, kind of a long time before she bounced back. I hope your wife is home soon.
Actually you are a year off as I was 4 going on 5. Still pretty scary at that age. Shoot, at any age.
Another beautiful cool morning. 52 degrees this morning and the house was not much above that. I did get up in the night and closed the north window by our bed. I was cold! Loving this weather as it does remind one of fall weather which is not too far away now.
When I came outside earlier, Holly had her garlic butter noodles then took care of business. She was starring intently towards the neighbors yard. I thought I better check as I know we have had deer and once or twice turkeys. Well turns out it is the neighbors chicken. I am pretty sure she does not let them free range when she isn't home. But Chaz told he knows she let them out. Don't think Holly would hurt them as when we raised a few turkeys we would let them out and she would try and herd them. Lol
