Bills done this morning. Getting ready to spend some time at the enjoyment center. Last two days the temperatures were pretty hot so we only worked in the morning. You hoarders have a good day.

Six sigma garbage wasting all the time instead of actually getting stuff done.

But sad to say there sometimes comes a time when you can no longer fix things. A combination of age and a worn out body can do some awful things to you. That is why we now keep a nice car that doesn't need repairing things. Shoot, many times I get people to help me do minor things; or at least they used to be minor. But just imagine not being able to bend much or if you bend then you can't straighten up. Imagine getting down, say, to change oil and filter. You get down then can't get back up. It is a terrible situation for sure but sometimes people have to live with these things and it isn't pretty. Shoot, most days just tieing my shoes puts me down for long periods of time. It is not the tie of the strings or putting on of the shoes but after doing it, I can't get up sometimes. I guess what I am trying to say is that we never know what other people go through or why they do some things differently. Life.

The repair shop is booked til Monday, so we'll drop it of then. I'll take a rumble in the old Blaze if I need go anywhere, we have not recharged the A/C in it since 2010 (not that it ever worked that great in an old black truck, just kinda neutralized the engine heat coming through the fire wall   ) but I know I can get from point A to point B and back :)

I understand what your saying, I am more aimed at people who could. I sometimes pay for something that I don't want to do but could do cause I can now in life. But all the repairs I do I could not afford to pay for them. Hopefully in retirement I can afford to have a newer car that may not need repairing. But honestly if you keep a good car even age and miles are higher it still may be cheaper than a huge new payment. Case in point is my daily driver. Toyota quality. Knock on wood, I don't fix it multiple times a year or anything. It's now 18 years old has 230,000 miles on it and was paid for at purchase over 10 years ago as a used vehicle. Even if I had to pay to fix it when something happened it might still work out for the better than a payment. Now if it was a 20 year old Chrysler product or Mitsubishi or Nissan maybe not as cheap?

Yeah I have said many times here that you can spend $1-2k to repair an otherwise reliable used car and still not even cover the sales tax on a new car. Not picking on new car buyers here...somebody's gotta buy em new so I can get my used ones...;)

I hear you, Dennis. I’m pretty much at that stage with my arthritis. The mind is willing, but the flesh is weak. It is frustrating to be in the position of not being able to fix and do what you once did. It is also costly at times.

Hi everyone. Finally got my sleep caught up enough from my Alaskan vacation to be able to play.
Flights up and flights back were a vacation from He!!.Cancelations and delays both ways. Everything in between was great. Made the ship and finally got home.
It rained some every day, but here are a few pictures.

The only thing that was not good about the fishing was it was to short.

Pic borrowed from my uncles wife since I couldn't be home. Dad's parents have been married for 55 years.

Spent some more time splitting today and finished filling up one rack and started on the next one. Red and white oak with a bit of elm.
