I think I’m going to get more use out of the box scraper than the brush hog. It makes quick work grooming the trails. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like mine too... But I really need 4wd to reap the benefits...Just not enough traction going back up hill. So I have to throw the front loader on and bring all the gravel back up hill to relay it back down...
Here are a few pics of my trail showing exposed roots. I have started covering them with splitter trash and pine needles.
You must have a lot of trails and not many open areas. I have a box blade but seldom use it. 90% of my seat time is bush hogging . The remainder would mostly be disk harrow or box blade, but I don't use it that often.
Erosion and soil compaction. Remembering back to my Forest Recreation class in college. About all I remember is "Scuffing of leaf litter, Soil compaction and erosion". Haha. Good thing I am not what I call a Recreation Forester!
1+, summertime brings a lot of mowing and very little dirt work. I used a box scraper back in my youth and decided it was clumsy and bothersome, so I’ve always relied on a 3pt blade ( that angles!). It is on the tractor about 50% of the winter for pulling snow away from buildings and 2% of the summer.
