I created the Sawfish foam kayak for my parents, unfortunately my dad isn't healthy enough to use his anymore.
Took my mom for a paddle though.

That motor launch at Big Island pond, was it a restored wooden boat or something newer? That is a fantastic picture.

I'm guessing it's a new fiberglass replica, the size of the cables running from the dock to the boat says electric launch with huge batteries to me.
Of all the houses and boats I saw, that was the only one I found appealing, of course I would have a fleet of small boats in racks all over the lawn if I owned it

20190606_185639.jpg it's been a busy summer, I've spent plenty of time paddling, 20190606_190839.jpg this was in Newburyport harbor
20190608_161241.jpg added some 55 gallon plastic barrel plastic to my racks, replacing roofing that wasn't quite as durable
    20190608_162927.jpg 20190608_170752.jpg
Moved my old oil tank rack covers to a bigger rack
    20190608_171131.jpg 20190608_174558.jpg 20190608_182027.jpg 20190608_182039.jpg
The steel roofing is screwed down, I filled the area under it with more wood.
I got to see it all working in the pouring rain, and I know my stack will be dry

Looking good, great example of putting/old unused, stuff to great use. A colonial ship in colonial port town on the Merrimack, I wish I made it down to see it.

20190610_132151.jpg I created the Sawfish foam kayak for my parents who could no longer move their plastic kayaks around to get to the water, my dad is no longer able to go because of health problems, but my mom still loves it. 20190610_134357.jpg 20190610_142712.jpg we did a one way trip from Atkinson,NH to Amesbury, MA

Actually a bit older than colonial, that's supposed to be a replica of the Santa Maria, big and tubby for lots of cargo.
Unlike the small, fast and nimble Nina and Pinta. I've been on replicas of those two, and found your average sailboat in the marina is the same or bigger.
According to those who know, Nina and Pinta would take the days course of sail and leave Santa Maria wallowing along behind. Then near dusk they would heave to, and sound a gun until Santa Maria found them hours later.

Saturday morning we woke up to no water in my sister's house, so my brother in law and his brother in law and I spent most of Saturday pulling the old pump and installing a new one.
The pump was dated 1983, I think they got their money's worth...

Looks like you had fun and work. I know about the pump. A couple years ago we were leaving for a cruise on Friday. I was working 3-11 shift on Wednesday and Thursday. Pump went out at lunchtime Wednesday. Wife picked up new pump that afternoon, Thursday morning installed it and had water by lunchtime, sure glad that worked out.

20190715_070210.jpg the next week I flew to Dallas for a job interview
20190716_183017.jpg rented a kayak for the first time in my life, the perfect way to work out the post interview butterflies.
Paddled all the way around Whiterock lake
    20190716_173626.jpg
The next day I visited the reunion tower observation deck (inside the round part at the top)

20190717_152759.jpg my flight was delayed leaving, but my father worked it out perfectly as I received my job offer while I was delayed.
    New job starts August 19th!
Better money and less hours, driving to Bedford, MA instead of Manchester, NH.

Last minute work to finish my latest sawfish foam kayak 20190720_182828.jpg
Before heading back to the Adirondacks for our annual church campmeeting just outside of Saranac Lake. Screenshot_20190723-114303.jpg
While I was there I received a finished picture from another happy builder
    20190723_183615.jpg
I had to do a bit more work after we were at campmeeting

Relaunch of Mermaid. She used to be 8 feet long for my second daughter, now she's a 14 foot tandem kayak, I cut her in half and spliced in 6 feet. 20190724_155244.jpg scouting a nearby pond for the youth paddling trip, my son and a nephew came along 20190725_070020.jpg being the paddler, I get to lead the annual paddle trip we do for the youth group, I headed out in the early dawn to reserve a campsite for our group to eat lunch, then came back to organize everyone
    20190727_145040.jpg
Some of the boats we used, 29 paddlers in all 20190726_212448.jpg
That night I took a singing group from a bible school out paddling in the dark, awesome!
    20190727_135210.jpg
A third group of kids from central New York visited for a couple days, so I took them paddling also.
Each group had kids in it who never paddled before.
20190726_105834.jpg we also hiked Little Seymour mountain with the youth group, we found an awesome view of the Adirondack high peaks at the top

Very nice outing. Glad to see y'all spending a lot of time with the youth. Kids need good influence. Thanks for all y'all did.

While I gave my employer a months notice, I actually only worked 5 days of that month because of vacations I put in for last year and months ago.
After the trip to the adirondacks, I worked one week, then we went camping on the Delaware river at Dingman's campground in PA.
What camping trip is memorable without some problems? First we blew a tire on the trailer as soon as we crossed the town line out of Haverhill.
I put the spare on, but noticed that one sidewall was badly cracked. We almost went home and started over the next morning, but instead took a chance on the spare and made it to PA.
    20190805_203342.jpg
This was the last of dusk as we crossed the last peak on Rt 84 in NY, heading into PA.
Ended up finding the campground, campsite and setting up camp in the dark, by headlamps.
20190806_100537.jpg being at the campsite already the next morning was worth the hassle to see the morning fog on the river
20190806_143040.jpg riding our bikes over to see Dingman's falls 20190806_150952.jpg the falls weren't that impressive, just not have rained much recently

Family time is still better than work time. Glad you are getting to enjoy it.
