“Vacuum lock” is usually one of the many gaskets associated with the fuel filter and housing. The local diesel shop will rebuild the entire assembly for $200- he also has several acres of parts trucks to pull from if the housing is cracked. I took mine in because I was getting air in the lines, and the sensor that screws into the bottom of the filter had cracked. He swapped me on the spot for one of his rebuilts and I was back running later that day.

Hi Hoarders, I'd like to treat kiddo to a ride in the front seat once in awhile. WWW's 2014 passenger airbag is easy, key lock in the glove box. I cannot locate one in mine, 2005 Duramax. Would any of you know where it is? upload_2019-7-22_19-41-45.png

My 06 was on the dashboard over by the passenger side glove box. Looked exactly like that left side pic you posted.

Writing a thank you note to all of you. I bought the screw last spring, put in my desk drawer and forgot about it. Last Monday took kiddo to swimming lessons in town, forgot my phone, and leaving....chugga chugga chugga was not getting gas despite the tank being almost 1/2. Luckilly WWW was not out of town that day, borrowed a phone and he came and bled/primed it and traded trucks with me. He put the new bleeder screw in that night, said the old screw was stock, plastic, and NO gasket. None. Ran to and from town twice since then without a hiccup!

Oh, and it appears my truck does not have a manual turn off for the passenger bag, so kiddo will have to stay in the back til she's a lot bigger.

À local shop with a real scanner should be able to do it for you. If you don't want to spend the money, go to O'Reilly's (might be Checker in your part of the country) and they will scan for free. Not sure if their scanner will do SRS or not, never had them scan anything for me.

If you light is on, then there is a fault somewhere. They should be able to tell you. Most SRS codes are pretty specifics to a single sensor.

Thanks. Yeah. No one could do SRS or ABS. So I bought the scanner that was recommended above and replaced the sensor. Been fine ever since, knock on wood.

Rotella 15w40. Sometimes conventional. Sometimes synthetic. Got enough on hand for a few oil changes
