Thanks wildwest. Yes, there is a Kroger in Owosso and my wife goes there occasionally. We have a little card they gave us that we can use for discounts at their pumps but so far have not used it. Seems we can get better deals elsewhere and rarely buy gas in Owosso because we rarely go there. I remember the safeway stores out west but we did not go to them often because they were higher priced. Oh yes, we also used to have a Sam's club membership but no longer. They are just too far from us to be worth the drive.
Well our water was sent in for testing, still waiting on the results though. The committee is trying to get government assistance to buy an expensive (but worth it) filter system. Got some good news though....grandfather max is coming up for a visit, haven't seen him for 2 years now.
Where is grandfather Max coming from? I guess none of your neighbors have their water tests back either?
He lives in North River, Nova Scotia. There's 16 (I think) houses on the well so all those are together. I heard another neighborhood well around the harbour from us had arsenic too, not sure the status of that one, or if anyone with their own well has gotten testing yet
Oh Dear! I thought you community well was often too low, but it was arsenic instead? We cannot use wells here either, (ancient oceans, concentrated alkaline salts) so we haul it to a cistern here at home. Treated water from the city water plant 400 gal/trip, I wonder if you could rig a temporary cistern?
We were losing it constantly, but they fracked the well. Lots of water now, but then they tested it and found arsenic. Not sure if the fracking brought it out but I'm suspecting it. I fill up big bottles from mom's place once or twice a week, that's about all I can do with my little car. Bit of a pain but what can you do
Is it bad that I tell my daughter that her Barbie that's missing from the right knee down is named Eileen?
