Yeah, plowing snow wouldn't be near as much fun without them. But it certainly beats using a shovel, heated grips or not.
Not a great pic but I have Bear Claws on mine. I’d say they work pretty well but you start turning tight radius on grass and it’s gonna rip it up.
Thx for the advice. I figured with the deep tread I may rip stuff up a bit. Certainly won't be ripping any donuts with them on. Not that I'd ever do that Yes, I would.
This might seem like a silly question, but how do you secure your saw to your quad? I’m still trying to find the best way to hold mine secure, I’ve been using some straps but haven’t been able to keep it secure enough for the trails in the woods. Nice atv! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Today’s the first time I ever took a saw into the woods on the quad and the log arch. I used two bungy straps. In the previous pic the saw was just sitting there. I’ll toss em in the wagon. I plan on making two scabbards for the log arch. I have a basket for the back of the atv just never installed it yet. Here’s today. You can see my 550 on the back. Just laid it down and strapped it on tight. Went about a mile out and a mile back to retrieve that piece of of of, well who knows what it is LOL Had no problems. Not a method I would want to use forever but it got the job done. It was a pretty rough ride. Over logs and some big rocks that actually stopped the atv in 4wd and dug holes. I was going slow so no momentum. If you look close you can see the spine of the log arch is bent. It’s actually cracked where it joins together. That’s from the atv pulling it over logs and rocks today. I didn’t notice it myself until after I took this pic and was looking at it this afternoon. Didn’t build the arch. I’ll weld it up in a stronger fashion.
I just cabbaged up a wood box out of scraps laying around that sits on & is fastened to my front rack. Sized for two saws sitting muffler to muffler, small gas & oil jugs, and small saw tool box. Once that is all there with a couple quick bungies or straps around it, and it is all there to stay while also being easy to get at & get out.
I was thinking about attaching a milk crate to the front of mine to set all my saw stuff into Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found an older pic. Rest of my stuff (axe, wedges, straps, rope,other tools, water, bug dope) goes in the back box. EDIT: Oh yeah, that's a 1997 with original tires. 98% work use never leaving the property so not a lot of miles - but they're kinda sorta due.

I haven't notice that on mine. I get a little bit of vibration on pavement below 5 MPH, but other than that they seem fine. Granted, I'm riding a Honda...which is about like riding a donkey compared so some other brands.
Just take into account your handlebar steering. Watched my buddy ratchet strap a milk crate to his front. I was smiling through the whole operation. As soon as we were ready to take off he finally realized he couldn’t steer. LOL. Yes I’m a little evil at times.
You may want to but chances are slim LOL I have a 570. Just not enough power to do donuts with those tires. It’ll throw you right on your head. An 850 or 1000 may have enough oomph to spin them fast enough to lose traction in a full donut. They will allow an amusing fishtail back and forth while under power on a trail. A little power sliding in corners to aid steering. But donuts? I haven’t been foolish enough to really give it a go yet. I can tell it wouldn’t end well for me.
If you pull a trailer, it will be a catch-22 anyway, with some compromises, if you leave stuff on the front full time. Weight on the front will make steering heavier with nothing going on out back, but if you have a trailer full of wood back there, then the more weight up front the better.

Nice sneakers Chaz !!! They'll do the trick. Go easy on nice grass though, you'll be suprized how fast they will eat it up. The swamp witch is basically the same tire category and they are hard on my back yard.
