Swap over from the mower deck to the brush cutter was quick and easy. About 5 minutes with me taking my time to look things over. I expected the brush cutter to make more noise when. I started it up, but it is surprisingly quiet. I have a little strip along the property line I’ve been maintaining with a hand held cutter. It is actually a bit rougher than it looks. Not a lot of brush now, but a good place to try things out. It motored right up the steep hill to get to it and chopped up sticks and weeds without slowing. The sticks is when the brush hog made some noise. Will try it out this evening in the upper woodlot. Still learning to let it go, instead of trying to hold it every time it hits a dip or a bump. Turning around with the handles so low is the biggest complaint so far. Probably not an issue for somebody shorter or with a better back. I tried cutting some of the neighbor’s thick, head high blackberries. I think a hand held with a good blade would be faster for the first cutting and then hit them with the DR after getting them closer to the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I actually got the machine for getting between the trees in the woodlot where there isn’t enough room for the tractor. Will use the tractor where it works, but just wanted to try the DR cutter out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Hard to believe they did not make the handlebars adjustable. But I can see where that machine could be nice.
I think they have a new model with adjustable handlebars. I just don’t know if it would be enough adjustment to make a difference for me. Still paying the price for being taller here. Not much advantage to it since I quit playing basketball. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
