Got .2" rain yesterday. Today you can hardly tell it rained. I did till both gardens. We're leaving fallow this year. Not sure what we'll do next year. Time will tell.
Two wagons of hay unloaded this morning. Thankfully I had three teenagers helping me. They worked great! We actually only needed one more wagon, but two came so we kept them both. All hay areas are full. And we have 200 extra bales of hay. After moving hay(my favorite thingy to do), it was time to get cleaned up, rest, and have lunch. And then an afternoon of mowing the trails and some open areas. Now watching my son play in a summer league soccer game. Beautiful evening here. We have had some really nice weather here lately.
Finally got to a location with wifi Had a long day driving today but tomorrow we will be visiting dinosaur museums. Spent the last two days in a re-constructed pioneer town from 1898. Had a ride on a train pulled by a steam loci I will be posting pictures in the future.
We're also seeing the soft maples turning especially in the swampy areas. Wife and I took a drive a few days ago through the state forest land here and saw lots of reds.
So I stained my chicken house this morning. Used two gallons to the tune of $80. When it dried it was the wrong color! After some research I found out Behr had changed their formula. Colors are different. I need cedar natural tone 501. I just went and got a gallon and it is correct. The new color looks nice but doesn’t match the house.
